For this project, we were supposed to create an avatar of ourselves, and then an opposite of that one. I chose to modify my physical characteristics, and for my avatar i amplified them, and the opposite i decreased them. I gave my avatar a long torso and short legs like men, and a big head as well. made him really skinny to reflect my skinniness as well. For the opposite, i gave him a fat, small torso, with massive legs and a tiny head. I wish i could have spent a little more time on the background, but i had run out of class periods.

Avatars
For this project, we were supposed to create an avatar of ourselves, and then an opposite of that one. I chose to modify my physical characteristics, and for my avatar i amplified them, and the opposite i decreased them. I gave my avatar a long torso and short legs like men, and a big head as well. made him really skinny to reflect my skinniness as well. For the opposite, i gave him a fat, small torso, with massive legs and a tiny head. I wish i could have spent a little more time on the background, but i had run out of class periods.
For this project, we were supposed to create an art preview as an advertisement. I chose most of the art that i had done in the second semester, with a few from the first. I liked the rainbow gradient for the letters and the picture organization as well. I wish i could have done a full border for the poster, but i could not do it without reseting the entire piece.

First vs. Third World Series
For the final project related to Rwanda, we were supposed to create a series of six images that reflected a theme. I chose First World vs Third World and the lack of help between them.
1. This project was supposed to show how the 1st has the ability to help the 3rd world, but is often hindered by ignorance and apathy
2. The quote i chose is actually from Hotel Rwanda, and it is again supposed to show how the 1st world is ignorant to the problems of the 3rd
3. This is supposed to represent, how on a world monetary value, the 1st world is viewed as much more valuable than its counterparts, and the quote is supposed to show that this doesn't have to continue as long as good people do something.
4. This is supposed to show how the worlds wealth is concentrated in the hands of the few, when it is really needed by the many. The quote reflects this idea.
5. This shows the division of between 1st and 3rd world, and ho the UN often creates the divide instead of helping close it.
6. This shows how the wealth is concentrated unfairly in the world, and how the small amount that trickles down will never be enough.
All in all, i was very happy with these, but my two favorites are by far 2 and 6

Hope
For the second part of the hotel rwanda series, we were supposed to create a piece using a single word. I chose hope, and i tried to show how hope can light up the darkest days

Hotel Rwanda Movie Poster
After watching hotel rwanda, we wee supposed to design a movie poster. Having looked at the official ones, i decided that instead of using real movie pictures, it would be better if i used clip art instaed. I used a eraser that had been spread and jittered to create the ragged effect, and used it and decreased the opacity on the title itself. The colors themselves are actually the ones of the National Rwandan flag, and the quotes from reviews are real. The one thing i wish i could have don differently was the font i used, but i couldnt find a tutourial or font that i liked better.

Find the Ball
The point of this project was to create a "Where's Waldo" with other Images. I chose some oranges and a rubber ball to hid. I had to cut each orange, make a new layer, place the ball under the oranges, and then remerge them. The two things i had wish i had done were, one, be able to match the color of the ball to the oranges, and two, merge the layers better.

Stencils
For this project, we were to create a stencil out of an image and use it to cut out parts of others, apply photo filters to each, and then put a Gradient background again. I used Pollock paintings again, and used a picture of Pollock himself painting as my stencil. I tried to create a Gradient that followed his random style, but the lines weren't able to bend enough. The one other thing i wish i could have done better was the stencil itself.

Streetlight
This tutorial showed us how to create a streetlight in a street scene. The tutorial was pretty easy to follow, and i liked it. The image could've been a little bigger, so i could have added more lights but i am pretty happy with it. The one thing i had wish id done diffrently though was pick a darker image so the light would look better.

Inside Out
For this project, we were supposed to fill half an image with another. I chose a stock image of myself, and filled it in with a Classic Rock Collage i had found. Cutting the Image in half was fairy difficult, so i eneded up having to create three layers. Looking back on it, i wish i had used a smaller collage because it looks a little unreadable.

Jackson Pollock Chair
For this project, we were supposed to create a chair using pieces of art, and then add a shadow. I used Jackson Pollock Paintings because i wanted to see how they would all look in close proximity. Im pretty happy with his project, and i liked the placement that i had chosen. The one thing that i wished i could have done was put art on the chair legs, but it was to hard to warp.

What A Long Strange Trip Its Been
For the exam, we were supposed to fill at least 24 and no more than boxes with images and fill the rest with whatever we chose. I had the idea of incorporating all my previous projects into it, and managed to to use almost all of them. I quoted the Grateful Dead to represent how my art has developed from taking pictures of the internet, to being able to create my own. Since my art is often...stranger than most, i chose that certain quote. Some of the requirements were a lot harder to find than i had previously thought, such as the custom shape tool. All in all, i am very happy with it. The only thing i regret was not having more projects.

Filtered Portrait
The filtered portrait was just one picture with multiple filters placed on top. I liked it because it was a fairly quick project, and i enjoyed it. I had a little bit of trouble with making the picture look clean but other wise it was a fun project. A bigger selection of filters would've been better but otherwise i really liked it.
Art News Review
Two of the pictures that inspired me in art news were Leon Ferrari's La CivilizaciĆ³n Occidental y Cristiana and Herbert Bayer's Formation. I liked the former because it showed how western civilizations mentality towards other it based off its main religion, and how it uses it as an exscuse for its own actions. It inspired me because it shows how art can be used to protest. I liked the latter just because it seemed cool, and it inspired me because it shows that abstract art doesn't have to have a point.
Kaleidoscope
For this project, we used a tutorial to try and create a kaleidoscope out of an image we had. Instead of picking one of the internet, I used my marla painting because i thought it would be something i could call my own instead of just copying and pasting. The tutorial was fairly easy to use, and i was able to work along with it a a decent speed. It seemed surprisingly easy to do for something that looked so complicated. Im pretty happy with how this turned out.

Art Site Review
Out of all the sites we visited, i liked photofunia the most because they had the most filters. They also had hd filters, and other content. The other sites had similar options, but they weren't as interesting or required enough work that it'd be easier and better just to use photoshop to do them.
Marla Painting
The marla painting was just a quick abstract work that we were supposed to do after we had watched he documentary. i didn't like this project as much because i don't really enjoy abstract art as much as other types, but it was fairly easy to do
Greeting Card
I had a lot of stuff on my desktop, so to save time i started placing two pieces at a time. For the greeting card, i just did a quick little one for the holidays. I like it because its general enough to apply to all the holidays, not matter what you celebrate.
