This tutorial showed us how to create a lined black and white portrait. The tutorial was a lot harder for this one than the others, and the image didn't turn out as well as i had wanted. Im not sure what i did wrong, but the image seems to grainy.

Streetlight

This tutorial showed us how to create a streetlight in a street scene. The tutorial was pretty easy to follow, and i liked it. The image could've been a little bigger, so i could have added more lights but i am pretty happy with it. The one thing i had wish id done diffrently though was pick a darker image so the light would look better.

Inside Out

For this project, we were supposed to fill half an image with another. I chose a stock image of myself, and filled it in with a Classic Rock Collage i had found. Cutting the Image in half was fairy difficult, so i eneded up having to create three layers. Looking back on it, i wish i had used a smaller collage because it looks a little unreadable.

Jackson Pollock Chair

For this project, we were supposed to create a chair using pieces of art, and then add a shadow. I used Jackson Pollock Paintings because i wanted to see how they would all look in close proximity. Im pretty happy with his project, and i liked the placement that i had chosen. The one thing that i wished i could have done was put art on the chair legs, but it was to hard to warp.

What A Long Strange Trip Its Been

For the exam, we were supposed to fill at least 24 and no more than boxes with images and fill the rest with whatever we chose. I had the idea of incorporating all my previous projects into it, and managed to to use almost all of them. I quoted the Grateful Dead to represent how my art has developed from taking pictures of the internet, to being able to create my own. Since my art is often...stranger than most, i chose that certain quote. Some of the requirements were a lot harder to find than i had previously thought, such as the custom shape tool. All in all, i am very happy with it. The only thing i regret was not having more projects.

Filtered Portrait

The filtered portrait was just one picture with multiple filters placed on top. I liked it because it was a fairly quick project, and i enjoyed it. I had a little bit of trouble with making the picture look clean but other wise it was a fun project. A bigger selection of filters would've been better but otherwise i really liked it.

Art News Review

Two of the pictures that inspired me in art news were Leon Ferrari's La Civilización Occidental y Cristiana and Herbert Bayer's Formation. I liked the former because it showed how western civilizations mentality towards other it based off its main religion, and how it uses it as an exscuse for its own actions. It inspired me because it shows how art can be used to protest. I liked the latter just because it seemed cool, and it inspired me because it shows that abstract art doesn't have to have a point.
